Another great year for Farmland Outfitters. The bear hunting was hard but we managed 92% of our clients to harvest a trophy black bear with the biggest being 431 pounds.
After the hard winter of 2014-2015, the deer herd was down 60% in most areas of Nova Scotia with others even greater. As a result, it made hunting for whitetail very hard in our area. Another difficulty this season which made the hunting harder was to have bucks frequenting the stands in daylight hours. With all these difficulties Farmland Outfitters was able to provide 92% of our clients the opportunity to harvest a trophy white tail.
This year was also busy for snowshoe hare clients. Due to the aging of our beagle (Jessie), who is now 13 years old, we have purchased two beagle puppies. They can be seen in the picture below with owner/operator on an afternoon hunt at 8 weeks old. On the left is Rutt and on the right is Tuke.
For those who aren’t aware, check us out on Facebook. You will be able to follow the training of these two pups during 2016 and keep up to date on the day to day events/news concerning Farmland Outfitters.
As always we would like to thank our 2015 clients for choosing Farmland Outfitters for the hunting destination. If you would like to book with Farmland Outfitters please contact us for information and/or availability.
