Black Bear
Bear hunting in Nova Scotia has had some amazing percentages of success due to the vast number of bears in recent years. The bears on average dressed weights run from 200-500 lbs, with a high percentage of bears taken with a 19″+ skull.
We hunt only in the late afternoon and evening, at active baits with minimum hunting pressure. Through the day you may hunt, or fish, depending on the season and package that you purchase.
Hunting is done from ladder, climbing and lock-on stands along with some ground blinds, and your safety harness must be worn at all times while in the stand. We are now booking for the 2022-2023 seasons.
Whitetail Deer
The whitetail deer is the principal big game hunted in Nova Scotia. Our whitetail deer are big bodied with dressed weights that may run from 180-260 lbs with heads scoring in the average of 120’s to 140’s. Several Boone and Crocket deer are taken each year. Here at Farmland Outfitters we are looking ahead to the Fall of 2021. We have many great hunting opportunities on our properties and would love to have you come out and hunt with us.
